Requirements

An advanced Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, a related field or CFA preferred
A minimum of 4-6 years of experience in the RMBS sector
Strong proficiency with Excel, financial models and financial data
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Ability to multi-task and manage deadlines under time pressure
Ability to demonstrate analytical independence and objectivity
Diligent and intellectually curious self-starter with a strong work ethic and a drive to succeed
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a collaborative team
Proficiency in programming skills (VBA, R, Python) a plus
Indefinite right to work in the United States (for US candidates)

Responsibilities

Manage RMBS transactions, ensuring a consistently high level of analytic quality
Conduct detailed reviews of legal and operating documents to ensure compliance with criteria
Demonstrate strong knowledge of ratings criteria and cash flow analysis
Effectively communicate S&P’s methodologies and procedures
Develop and communicate S&P Global Ratings thought leadership and credit themes
Participate and lead special projects to execute the Structured Finance business strategy
Analyze transactions backed by U.S. residential mortgages
Aggregate data and information to be used to present to rating committees
Participate in reviewing operational capabilities of issuers and lenders
Identify market trends and contribute to market research and commentary
Act as the primary analyst and an active, vocal voting member to the rating committee
Prepare material for ratings publication
Develop leading analytical research and ratings
Meet with issuers and investors on analytical matters
Resolve client needs
