Candidates must possess a Doctorate Degree (PhD) or Master's (MSc) in health economics or a related discipline and have over 10 years of health economics and outcomes research experience. Proficiency in Visual Basic, R, Python, OPEN BUGS, and JAGs, with the ability to program, interpret, and modify code, is essential. Experience leading projects as a subject matter expert, providing strategic direction, and managing projects with effective communication across all organizational levels is required. Demonstrated success in developing models for HTA submissions, including country-specific adaptations, and innovative methods evidenced by published research are necessary. Experience leading research, presenting at conferences, and engaging with internal stakeholders and senior leaders is also crucial, along with a significant understanding of generative AI techniques.
The Associate Director will provide expert modeling, AI, and programming capabilities to GHEOR TA teams, executing market-level CE model adaptations using the BMS GHEOR EPM Generative AI tool suite. Responsibilities include executing and presenting methods for shaping innovative research, panels, publications, education, and external talks, with a primary focus on AI methods for access & HEOR. The role involves developing innovative HTA methods, particularly AI capabilities, to accelerate medicine access and reduce costs, and leading the BMS external strategy to evolve payer/HTA agency methodology for the company's portfolio. The position requires acting as a scientific leader for modeling methodology, horizon scanning for HTA advances, partnering with global teams to implement AI-based model adaptations, and delivering structural updates to economic models. Additionally, the role involves providing expert support for cost-effectiveness and budget impact models, offering early HEOR analytics for pricing strategies, contributing modeling input to Value Story development, interpreting clinical study results, and planning statistical analyses. The Associate Director will also engage with HTA and reimbursement authorities, lead publications of core global economic models, and provide thought leadership internally and externally to shape the HTA business environment.
