Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Health, clinical, biological or mathematical sciences, or related field (Required)
  • 3 years direct Data Management experience, including 1 or more years as a CDM project lead. Equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • Previous experience and proven competencies

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end delivery of data management services for single/multi-service projects with minimal guidance, ensuring quality deliverables on time and within budget, to customer satisfaction
  • Provide comprehensive data management expertise to Clinical Data Management (CDM) team
  • Provide leadership to the team in project planning, execution, close-out; financial management; communications; and milestone deliverables
  • Perform role of Data Team Lead (DTL)
  • Comply with Good Clinical Practices (GCPs), applicable regulatory guidelines, SOPs, policies, and CDM guidance documents
  • Serve as primary point of contact for customer on data management deliverables
  • Provide project management expertise to manage continuous process improvements, issue escalation, workload projections, and technical expertise
  • Provide input for and perform direct negotiations with customer on timelines, financial, process, and resources (with guidance)
  • Maintain strong customer relationships and ensure open communications to manage contractual obligations
  • Meet regularly with Data Operations Coordinator (DOC) and/or Data Operations team to ensure milestones meet timelines and quality deliverables
  • Establish strong communications with Data Operations team, functional leads, project managers, and stakeholders
  • Support DM service delivery with comprehensive DM process and technical expertise
  • Serve as escalation point for unresolved data issues and work with client data managers, vendors, and internal team for resolution (with guidance)
  • Work with functional manager(s) to ensure appropriate resources are assigned
  • Create and/or review and sign-off on data management plan (DMP) documents (with guidance)
  • Implement proactive quality management plan, identify issues, and resolve with functional manager(s)
  • Track service performance, identify root causes of issues, and implement remedial actions (with guidance)
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency of tasks and quality of deliverables
  • Identify compliance issues and ensure timely resolution with functional manager(s)
  • Maintain internal tracking databases and systems (with guidance)
  • Ensure service and quality meet agreed timelines and deliverables in contract/SOW (with guidance)
  • Manage SOW/budget and review financial reports monthly
  • Participate in project reviews, identify out-of-scope tasks, and track change orders
  • Serve as Project Manager for single service DM projects, including financial tracking, revenue recognition, and invoicing (with guidance)
  • Participate in RFP process (review documents, pricing, bid defense) (with guidance)
  • Provide input on DM process improvements or project solutions to CDM team/department
  • Provide input on development and implementation of new technology or tools
  • Participate in focus team or global/local best practice team
  • Perform other duties as directed by functional manager(s)
