  • Barred in at least one state with the ability to register as in-house counsel in New York
  • 4+ years of post JD relevant work experience in the healthcare regulatory space
  • Excellent legal research and writing skills

Responsibilities

  • Review and update the organization on new healthcare laws which may impact the organization
  • Perform legal research and writing for both lawyers and the clinical/operations team
  • Review Business Associate and Data Use Agreements
  • Advise on relevant federal and state healthcare regulations that impact our organization
  • Manage licensing and regulatory filings related to operating a risk-bearing, multi-state, physician group
  • Help regulatory team manage strategic and/or operational initiatives to satisfy regulatory concerns and/or comply with related requirements
  • Serve as a regulatory generalist and support all regulatory term attorneys with privacy, telemedicine, scope of practice, billing, coding and other relevant federal and state healthcare regulations
