Position Overview

Become a part of our caring community and help us put health first. The Associate Actuary provides actuarial support across a broad range of actuarial and business needs for specific product lines. The Associate Actuary's work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. This position will lead and own the Medicaid actuarial value-added benefit pricing and analytics process, including leading pricing for both existing markets and RFPs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide actuarial support for specific product lines.
  • Conduct analysis of moderately complex to complex issues.
  • May be responsible for any combination of valuation, pricing, analytics, forecasting, risk, compliance, and operations.
  • Begin to influence department’s strategy.
  • Make decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components.
  • Lead and own the Medicaid actuarial value-added benefit pricing and analytics process.
  • Lead pricing for both existing markets and RFPs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Associate of Society of Actuaries (ASA) designation
  • MAAA
  • Strong communication skills
  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Travel

Occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.
