Requirements

The job requires a Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, or a related field, and successful completion of 1-3 actuarial exams. Candidates should possess solid oral and written communication skills, along with strong problem-solving abilities and good time management skills to handle competing priorities. Preferred experience includes proficiency in Excel, Word, and database software, and/or programming experience with SQL and Python. A basic understanding of related products and actuarial processes, along with 1-2 years of actuarial experience, is also desired, particularly in Employer Stop Loss or Employer Benefits.

Responsibilities

The Actuarial Assistant will provide technical and administrative support to actuarial staff by preparing and analyzing statistical information for actuarial computations. They will actively participate in the Actuarial Student Rotation Program, and may be responsible for supporting business decisions and analyzing data to improve Employer Stop Loss pricing models. Additionally, they will perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall goals of the team and Voya Financial.
