Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in accounting and/or finance required (Masters or Advanced degree preferred)
  • English proficiency - intermediate level (Conversation, reading and writing)
  • 3 years of hands-on experience in accounting (Mid level) with a track record of accurate accounting and financial reporting
  • Knowledge of IFRS, balance sheet reviews, reconciliations, and statutory/corporate accounting
  • Understanding of inventory valuation methods (e.g., FIFO, weighted average), provisions for slow movers, and impact on COGS and financial statements
  • Experience supporting internal and external audits, with a solid grasp of internal and financial controls
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and advanced Excel skills, along with familiarity with Word and PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and planning abilities
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on delivering results within deadlines
  • Skilled in stakeholder management to ensure seamless coordination and outcomes

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring accurate accounting and financial reporting within prescribed deadlines and in compliance with IFRS
  • Preparing accurate journal entries, robust monthly balance sheet reconciliations, and collaborating with local stakeholders for timely issue resolution
  • Actively support Financial Reporting & Accounting (FRA) Ops working style by being inclusive, proactive, respectful, and results driven in alignment with Alcon Values and Behaviors
  • Act service oriented to enable service lines to deliver a high-performing organization and contribute to derive improvements/standard solutions while cultivating customer service focus culture
