Responsibilities

  • Support the Corporate Controller in maintaining a strong system of internal controls, safeguarding company assets and ensuring integrity of plant financial transactions
  • Support the Cost Accountant in managing inventory accuracy and cost accounting processes, including standard costing, inventory valuation (LCM), and reconciliation of fixed assets with the General Ledger
  • Analyze plant operating costs in detail and recommend actions to improve profitability and ROI
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end accounting schedules to ensure timely and accurate reporting
  • Develop and maintain internal accounting policies; monitor emerging technologies to identify opportunities for automation and process improvement
  • Provide direct support during quarterly reviews and annual audits, including SEC financial statement reviews, statutory audits, and tax filings
  • Serve as a key liaison with the China accounting team, ensuring alignment of accounting practices, reconciliations, and reporting standards across jurisdictions
  • Partner with plant and corporate leaders to assess financial implications of operational strategies and cost control initiatives
  • Support process improvement initiatives across both plant operations and corporate accounting
  • Assist in coordinating audits of plant and corporate accounts to ensure compliance with state, federal, and international requirements
