Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
At least 6 months of relevant experience in public relations and/or related fields including research, advertising, management consulting, media, and publishing (preferred)
Prior internship experience (preferred)
Good interpersonal and communication skills along with the ability to work effectively with a variety of account service staff within a specific set of accounts
Strong research, writing, and editing skills and the ability to develop media contacts/relationships
Solid grasp of all basic public relations tools and how they are used to achieve client goals
Strong work ethic and dedication to consistently provide quality work to their team and clients
Possess a solid understanding of the current healthcare landscape and topical issues
Demonstrate behaviors consistent with Edelman’s values (Quality, Integrity, Respect, Entrepreneurial Spirit, Mutual Benefits) and Code of Ethics and Business Conduct

Responsibilities

Support the day-to-day execution of communications plans that meet client objectives
Manage multiple projects from conception to completion, by anticipating challenges and ensuring deadline and budget adherence
Consistently produce high quality internal and external communications content often under tight timelines and with competing priorities
Monitor for relevant industry news, media and social coverage
Help with coordination of agendas, meetings and timelines
Build relationships with clients and colleagues at all levels
Commit to continuous learning and improvement of leadership skills; set and pursue stretch goals
