Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 0-2+ years of experience reading and interpreting Mechanical drawing/Blueprint packages
- Ability to read and understand a wide range of blueprints
- Mechanical aptitude
- Detail-oriented
- Team player with a positive attitude towards clients and coworkers, striving for constant improvement in process and delivery
- Ability to lift, lower, push, and pull merchandise up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, and bend for 8 hours or more daily
- Constant use of arms, hands, fingers, eyes, legs, and back
- Participation in drug and alcohol program
- Ability to pass a background check
Responsibilities
- Work with basic hand tools and PPE, including drilling and tapping of metal
- Follow work instructions to assemble parts/assemblies within allocated timeframes while meeting quality standards (zero defects)
- Ensure Quality Check Sheets are completed to company standards before final packaging
- Photograph projects to provide quality history
- Obtain shipping invoices and packing slips
- Package all items being shipped per procedures and packing requirements
- Palletize and band product, ensuring proper packaging for customer delivery
- Update the Team Status Board to reflect work order status and note quality, safety, and improvements
- Work as a team to coordinate workflow and accomplish daily goals and objectives
- Communicate daily production status, concerns, and issues to the appropriate person and role
- Load and unload delivery trucks
- Use a pallet jack or forklift to move material throughout the shop
