Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience
  • 1 year of manufacturing or mechanical assembly experience
  • Background in precision mechanical assembly and low-volume, sophisticated manufacturing processes
  • Experience with Windows-based and MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Division-Specific Outlook and Access)
  • Ability to lift up to 35-40 lbs. without assistance
  • Ability to work in a cleanroom environment (no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair; PPE required including safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs)
  • Adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety standards
  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a team of 8-10 colleagues
  • Ability to analyze and address problems independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to assist with projects, conduct training, and work effectively in collaborative groups
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, successful in partnering with diverse colleagues

Responsibilities

  • Conduct assembly, alignments, and final configurations of components
  • Conduct assembly work applying prescribed methods using hand tools, fixtures, and test equipment
  • Collect test data and use databases/office programs to detail the manufacturing process
  • Participate in resolving production challenges and making process decisions
  • Assist in the selection and/or set-up of specialized equipment
  • Perform troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues
  • Perform equipment set-up, calibration, and preventative maintenance
  • Follow audit and safety guidelines
  • Participate in continuous process improvement
