Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year of work experience in a manufacturing, operations, production, lab setting or related field
- Ability to lift 40 lbs. without assistance (frequently up to 50 pounds)
- Able to stand for full shift; standing, bending, reaching, and handling bulky parts common
- Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards
- No contact lenses allowed; prescriptive glasses provided
- Some degree of PPE required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs, etc.)
- Ability to read and differentiate part numbers, labels, and work instructions
- Ability to read electrical wiring diagrams and recognize color codes
- Follows company policies including safety and environmental policies
- Self-starter with ability to react quickly to changing priorities
- Ability to balance multiple tasks, set priorities, and meet expected production goals
- Availability for mandatory overtime, including daily (Monday-Friday) and weekends (Saturday)
Responsibilities
- Select appropriate components to align and assemble them in proper sequence by drilling holes, adding rivets, screws, bolts, braces, tape, cement or solder to meet specifications
- Apply wiring harnesses, sensors, and other electrical components recognizing color codes to ensure wiring and other color-coded procedures meet guidelines
- Inspect parts during sub-assembly and at key points to ensure the unit meets specified quality standards prior to moving to the next workstation
- Use a wide range of hand tools, including but not limited to drill, rivet gun, drill press
- Use SAP system to enter product related data, track component serial numbers, scan bar codes, production rates, track physical location, etc
- Order and retrieve supplies/materials such as cardboard, bags, warehouse items, etc., using paper and SAP documents
- Troubleshoot work-related problems by applying knowledge and experience toward resolution and taking appropriate steps for assistance
- Test assembled units; clean and pack final product
- Work safely and ensure the best quality products
- Engage with colleagues to troubleshoot problems and drive continuous improvement in the factory
