Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year of work experience in a manufacturing, operations, production, lab setting or related field
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs. without assistance (frequently up to 50 pounds)
  • Able to stand for full shift; standing, bending, reaching, and handling bulky parts common
  • Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards
  • No contact lenses allowed; prescriptive glasses provided
  • Some degree of PPE required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs, etc.)
  • Ability to read and differentiate part numbers, labels, and work instructions
  • Ability to read electrical wiring diagrams and recognize color codes
  • Follows company policies including safety and environmental policies
  • Self-starter with ability to react quickly to changing priorities
  • Ability to balance multiple tasks, set priorities, and meet expected production goals
  • Availability for mandatory overtime, including daily (Monday-Friday) and weekends (Saturday)

Responsibilities

  • Select appropriate components to align and assemble them in proper sequence by drilling holes, adding rivets, screws, bolts, braces, tape, cement or solder to meet specifications
  • Apply wiring harnesses, sensors, and other electrical components recognizing color codes to ensure wiring and other color-coded procedures meet guidelines
  • Inspect parts during sub-assembly and at key points to ensure the unit meets specified quality standards prior to moving to the next workstation
  • Use a wide range of hand tools, including but not limited to drill, rivet gun, drill press
  • Use SAP system to enter product related data, track component serial numbers, scan bar codes, production rates, track physical location, etc
  • Order and retrieve supplies/materials such as cardboard, bags, warehouse items, etc., using paper and SAP documents
  • Troubleshoot work-related problems by applying knowledge and experience toward resolution and taking appropriate steps for assistance
  • Test assembled units; clean and pack final product
  • Work safely and ensure the best quality products
  • Engage with colleagues to troubleshoot problems and drive continuous improvement in the factory
