Requirements

Candidates must be a U.S. Citizen and reside within the United States, possessing either a Bachelor’s degree plus 7-10 years of experience in Cloud Engineering, AI/ML, or Data Engineering, or a Master’s degree plus 3-5 years of experience in a related field. AWS certifications are highly preferred, and experience with AIML and SEC is a plus, along with familiarity with AWS Bedrock, Apache Spark, Databricks, and cloud-native AI/ML tools. A strong understanding of cloud security, risk remediation, and AI workload optimization is required, and proficiency in Python, Terraform, Kubernetes, and CI/CD automation is necessary.

Responsibilities

The AI/ML Tech Lead will deploy and maintain AI/ML cloud infrastructure on platforms such as AWS and Azure, configure and optimize AI model training, inference, and large-scale data processing, identify and remediate cybersecurity risks while ensuring compliance with security best practices, automate cloud deployment, monitoring, and scaling using Terraform, Kubernetes, and CI/CD, and ensure high availability and fault tolerance for AI/ML workloads in cloud environments. The role also involves providing technical consultancy, prototype development, risk management, and business value demonstrations to key stakeholders, and supporting the Department of Defense’s Chief Data and Artificial Intelligence Officer (CDAO) in accelerating AI/ML adoption across the enterprise, particularly in the area of Generative AI (GenAI) R&D.
