Machine Learning Engineer II - Maintenance
Flock Safety- Full Time
- Junior (1 to 2 years)
Candidates should possess 5+ years of professional experience in Machine Learning Engineering or research, with a focus on cybersecurity, Natural Language Processing, or sequence/temporal modeling. They must have strong coding skills in Python, JavaScript (React), or similar languages, along with hands-on experience utilizing and fine-tuning large language models, embeddings, or multilingual models for cybersecurity applications. Proficiency in ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Hugging Face Transformers is required, alongside familiarity with MLOps, model deployment, and monitoring practices. Experience with model validation and metrics, knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), and understanding of secure coding, encryption, zero-trust, and zero-knowledge principles are also necessary. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent experience, is required, and applicants must be a ‘US Person’ due to the role’s involvement with GovCloud.
The Machine Learning Engineer will be responsible for building, fine-tuning, and deploying models using LLMs, transformers, and sequence architectures to detect, classify, and analyze elevated access events and user behaviors in real time. They will generate and augment datasets using synthetic and multilingual data, scale ML experimentation and deployment pipelines with MLOps best practices, and create systems operating in cloud, on-prem, and self-hosted environments. Furthermore, the role involves continuously improving model performance, latency, and reliability, implementing secure, privacy-aware inference strategies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to align ML efforts with product goals, writing clean, maintainable code and providing comprehensive documentation.
