Requirements

  • Adheres to FMCNA Compliance Program, regulatory, and FMS policy requirements
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulatory requirements, including OSHA
  • Ability to supervise 7 to 15 exempt and non-exempt employees across 10 to 25 clinics
  • Proficiency in management systems (e.g., PeopleSoft, Kronos, Service Database) for data integrity
  • Expertise in repair, maintenance, and operation of water treatment equipment, dialysis equipment, ancillary equipment, test equipment, and physical plant per manufacturer recommendations and FMCNA procedures
  • Skills in water/dialysate sample collection, processing, review, evaluation, and reporting
  • Capability to manage financial metrics (e.g., TAP, maintenance parts cost, travel, expenses)
  • Experience with piloting and implementing new systems and processes
  • Ability to perform technical assessments, transport equipment, and manage inventory/purchasing of service parts, including RGA and warranty returns
  • Collaboration skills with Area Managers, Directors of Operations, Quality/Education personnel, Regional Technical Operations Manager, Project Manager, and external vendors

Responsibilities

  • Supervise overall operation, condition, maintenance, and repair of water treatment, physical plant, medical equipment, and mechanical/electrical systems in assigned area to ensure patient and staff safety
  • Ensure all Technical Department decisions, actions, and activities comply with company SOPs and regulatory requirements; oversee OSHA and regulatory compliance resolutions
  • Drive FMS culture through values and customer service standards; provide outstanding service to external/internal customers; develop relationships and resolve issues timely
  • Manage Technical Services for area (10-25 clinics), including operational, financial, and regulatory requirements in collaboration with Area Managers/Directors of Operations
  • Collaborate with Quality/Education personnel on cross-functional initiatives
  • Oversee area financial metrics (TAP, maintenance parts cost, travel, expenses)
  • Maintain data integrity in management systems (PeopleSoft, Kronos, Service Database)
  • Pilot and implement new systems/processes
  • Supervise repair/maintenance on equipment and physical plant; document activities per policies
  • Purchase/maintain service parts inventory; ensure timely return of defective/warranty parts
  • Support QAPI process; cooperate with facility staff on regulatory/OSHA compliance
  • Perform water/dialysate sample collection/processing and report results
  • Transport equipment as needed
  • Collaborate with Director of Technical Services on operating/financial goals; monitor performance metrics and implement improvements
  • Collaborate on water treatment equipment selection for DeNovos, relocations, renovations
  • Work with Project Manager on technical/physical plant aspects of DeNovos, relocations, renovations
  • Integrate Technical Services into acquired facilities
  • Perform Technical Assessments for clinics
  • Initiate, monitor, and manage external vendor service/maintenance agreements/contracts
  • Ensure manufacturers' IFUs are available; maintain emergency contacts list
