NVIDIA- Full Time
- Senior (5 to 8 years)
Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree with 5+ years of professional experience, or an advanced degree, and proficiency in C++14, enabling them to write robust, efficient, and clean code. Experience with CUDA programming and parallelization of algorithms is required, along with experience writing TensorRT plugins. Familiarity with collaborative development tools like Git and Jira is also necessary.
The Applied ML Engineer will be responsible for working on the cutting edge of autonomy, optimizing deep learning models for execution on embedded NVIDIA GPUs, developing custom CUDA kernels and TensorRT plugins for perception and planning algorithms, collaborating with domain experts across the autonomy stack, influencing development, and helping deploy models to truck. They will also identify and work to reduce system performance bottlenecks and contribute to the engineering community through documentation, code review, and strategic discussions.
Develops autonomous driving technology for trucks
Torc Robotics develops software systems for self-driving trucks, focusing on Level 4 autonomous driving technology that allows trucks to operate without human intervention in specific conditions. Their technology enhances road safety and meets the logistics industry's growing demands. Torc Robotics partners with major truck manufacturers, like Daimler Trucks, and collaborates with companies such as Luminar Technologies to integrate advanced sensors into their systems. They generate revenue by selling their software to fleet operators and truck manufacturers, while also providing ongoing support and updates. The company's goal is to improve efficiency and safety in freight transportation through their autonomous solutions.
