Requirements

Candidates must have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science or Computer Science and at least 6 years of combined experience in Data Science. Proficiency in Python, data manipulation, visualization, and modeling is required, along with experience in large-scale data processing on cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), distributed computing (Ray, Apache Spark), SQL and NoSQL databases, workflow orchestration platforms (Airflow), ML lifecycle management tools (MLflow), and ML Operations. Experience creating threat detection ML models for security products, an interest in cybersecurity with foundational knowledge of security research, and an understanding of executable/non-executable file formats and malware behavioral analysis on Windows/Mac/Linux are considered bonus points.

Responsibilities

The Applied Data Scientist will build and optimize ML models for malware detection with high accuracy and precision. Responsibilities include conducting exploratory data analysis on threat and behavioral data, performing feature engineering on malware static and behavioral data, designing and maintaining scalable data pipelines for threat intelligence feeds, establishing metrics and KPIs for model effectiveness, collaborating with researchers and engineers to develop and deploy ML solutions, and conducting model evaluations across diverse threat scenarios.
