Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience (6+ years preferred in Python-based data engineering; minimum 6.5 years in Python programming)
  • 15 years full-time education
  • Strong Python programming skills
  • Data Engineering experience with hands-on experience in building and maintaining data pipelines on AWS
  • Deep expertise in AWS data ecosystem (Glue, EMR, Redshift, Step Functions, Lambda, CloudFormation/Terraform)
  • Strong experience in orchestration frameworks (Airflow, Step Functions, or similar)
  • Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT design, and performance tuning
  • Experience with PySpark, Glue, EMR for large-scale data processing
  • Experience in Agile delivery and stakeholder communication
  • Experience with database management and SQL

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement complex data pipelines and orchestration workflows in AWS
  • Lead development of data integration solutions across multiple domains and systems
  • Optimize performance of large-scale data processing jobs (PySpark, Glue, EMR)
  • Ensure data governance, security, and compliance in all solutions
  • Mentor junior engineers and review their work to ensure quality
  • Partner with product owners and architects to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Active participation/contribution in team discussions
  • Ownership of end-to-end data workflows
  • Collaborate with architects and business stakeholders to deliver scalable and reliable data solutions
