Requirements

Hands-on professional experience developing and maintaining Android applications with high requirements on performance, usability, and reliability
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
Proficiency in Kotlin, and experience with Jetpack Compose and the Android SDK
Experience integrating apps with REST APIs and collaborating with backend teams
Strong attention to detail with a focus on design consistency and user experience
Experience supporting and monitoring production applications using modern tools
Motivation to learn, curiosity to explore new technologies, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Understanding of financial markets, asset classes, and the technical demands of building financial systems (valued)
Experience mentoring others or leading initiatives (advantage)
Required tech: Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Android SDK, Android Studio, REST APIs
Preferred tech: Clear Street’s technology stack: Gola

Responsibilities

Contribute to the design and development of the Android application
Influence architectural decisions and help set best practices for the Android platform
Ensure the Android experience meets high standards across Clear Street’s products
Work closely with Clear Street Studio (product design and research team) and iOS engineers to deliver a cohesive and high-quality mobile experience across platforms
Partner with engineering and business stakeholders to design new mobile solutions
Integrate with backend systems
Deliver a world-class user experience
Work end-to-end with exposure to backend services, data, and infrastructure (as comfortable)
