Requirements

  • Hands-on professional experience developing and maintaining Android applications with high requirements on performance, usability, and reliability
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • Proficiency in Kotlin, and experience with Jetpack Compose and the Android SDK
  • Experience integrating apps with REST APIs and collaborating with backend teams
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on design consistency and user experience
  • Experience supporting and monitoring production applications using modern tools
  • Motivation to learn, curiosity to explore new technologies, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Understanding of financial markets, asset classes, and the technical demands of building financial systems (valued)
  • Experience mentoring others or leading initiatives (advantage)
  • Required tech: Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Android SDK, Android Studio, REST APIs

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design and development of the Android application
  • Influence architectural decisions and help set best practices for the Android platform
  • Ensure the Android experience meets high standards across Clear Street’s products
  • Work closely with Clear Street Studio (product design and research team) and iOS engineers to deliver a cohesive and high-quality mobile experience across platforms
  • Partner with engineering and business stakeholders to design new mobile solutions
  • Integrate with backend systems
  • Deliver a world-class user experience
  • Work end-to-end with exposure to backend services, data, and infrastructure (as comfortable)
