Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field, with an MBA or Master's in Finance being a plus. A minimum of 3 years of professional finance experience is required, along with a strong understanding of financial concepts such as financial statements, cash flow, NPV, and ROI. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary to convey complex insights concisely. Demonstrated analytical and quantitative abilities, advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, and experience working with engineers and operators are essential. The ability to accurately prepare professional reports on various frequencies is also required. Experience in an operating company within the energy industry and exposure to operations are preferred qualifications.
The Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst will assist in developing and maintaining the budgeting process, implementing new systems, and analytical tools. They will provide finance support by highlighting trends and analyzing unexpected variances to aid functional leaders in cost management. This role involves maintaining a reporting system to provide management with information for business decisions, preparing and distributing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results, and generating reports to track costs against budget for projects. The analyst will also prepare routine and ad-hoc reports, track budget to actual costs and cash flow, and partner with Operations Managers to ensure reporting accuracy. Additionally, they will work with Leadership and Investor Relations to coordinate and develop materials and review contracts to understand accounting requirements.
