Job Description: English to Albanian Translator & Proofreader (Life Sciences)

Position Overview

Welocalize is seeking a freelance English to Albanian translator and proofreader with a specialization in Life Sciences. This is an ongoing, remote position for a project involving multiple leading pharmaceutical providers. The primary focus of the work will be on investigator-facing, patient-facing, and pharmacy-related documents.

• Expected Volume: 2,000 to 5,000 words per week

Requirements

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

• Experience: Minimum of two years' experience translating and copyediting content in the specified subject matter areas (Investigator-facing, Patient-facing, and/or Pharmacy material).
• Language Proficiency: Excellent knowledge of both English and Albanian languages.
• CAT Tool Proficiency: Experience using CAT tools.
• Education/Experience:
  • A translation degree, OR
  • If holding a different degree, a minimum of 2 years of translation experience, OR
  • If holding no degree, a minimum of 5 years of translation experience.

Responsibilities

• Translate and proofread Life Sciences content from English into Albanian.
• Ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to project-specific guidelines.
• Utilize the XTM CAT tool for all translation and proofreading tasks.
