Candidates must possess over 5 years of experience in affordable housing compliance, specifically with LIHTC and other federal, state, and local programs. A deep understanding of LIHTC, HUD, BOND, HOME, and local compliance programs across multiple states, particularly CA, TX, NY, WA, and FL, is essential. Experience managing compliance teams or operations for affordable housing portfolios and holding an LIHTC compliance certification from an accredited provider are required. Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, excellent organization, and written documentation abilities are necessary, along with the capacity to collaborate effectively with product and engineering teams.
The Affordable Housing Compliance Manager will serve as the in-house expert on affordable housing compliance, leveraging experience across LIHTC, HUD, BOND, HOME, and state/local programs to inform product development. This role involves translating regulatory requirements into clear product input, collaborating with product managers and engineers to shape features and workflows, and partnering with client stakeholders to validate and demonstrate product value. The manager will stay updated on federal, state, and local regulatory changes to ensure software evolution, review and prepare compliance packages to validate software accuracy, and create/maintain Compliance Narratives. Additionally, they will liaise with public agencies, consultants, and compliance professionals to ensure product alignment with evolving industry needs.
