Requirements

  • Senior role experience at a state utility commission or regulatory affairs/policy leadership role at an electric utility or IPP
  • Significant exposure to commission decision-making
  • Strong relationships across commissions and utilities, including regulatory staff, policy leaders, and utility executives
  • Understanding of commission thinking on reliability, liquidity, credit exposure, and ratepayer protection
  • Experience working in markets with high renewable and storage penetration
  • Ability to translate regulatory and utility experience into clear, actionable recommendations

Responsibilities

  • Advise on regulatory positioning and articulate how the product supports commission goals
  • Guide regulatory engagement and refine communication of value to commissions
  • Translate regulatory signals and help adapt the product and positioning accordingly
  • Leverage network to open doors with contacts across state commissions, utilities, and energy policy organizations
  • Educate and build credibility with decision-makers in complex regulatory environments
