Requirements

Candidates should possess a Ph.D. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field, and have a significant track record of success in peptide and macrocycle chemistry, with experience in molecular engineering and lead optimization. Demonstrated experience in oral drug delivery and a strong understanding of chemical biology are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

The Advisor/Sr. Advisor will contribute to projects focused on oral macrocycles, chemical biology, and peptide frameworks, combining molecule design and conjugation efforts. They will work on molecule engineering efforts from lead identification to lead optimization, contributing to phase 1b and beyond, and lead display screening efforts. This role involves learning and enhancing the platform technology at Protomer to accelerate lead finding and optimization, collaborating within the group to achieve common goals while providing independent scientific rationale and contributing to strategy and execution, and taking on dedicated molecular engineering efforts towards targets of high conviction.
