  • Ability to work independently while maintaining clear communication with the coordination team

Responsibilities

  • Operate the test vehicle across various road and traffic conditions
  • Travel from Tokyo to North Japan
  • Follow assigned routes with specific driving objectives (e.g., overtaking car carriers, stopping at crossings, or maintaining specific speeds)
  • Update or adjust routes as required in coordination with the local coordinator
  • Comply with all local traffic regulations and project-specific safety requirements
  • Monitor and maintain the rooftop sensor system, including regular cleaning (approximately every 1–2 hours)
  • Oversee the external battery for the measurement system, ensuring it remains charged and operational
  • Handle prototype vehicles with care, maintaining strict confidentiality and following prescribed covering/protection procedures
  • Manage and replace data storage media (SSDs, HDDs) as required
  • Operate copying stations and perform data backups, following automated processes and data integrity standards
  • Start, stop, and monitor measurement software during data collection sessions
  • Use remote desktop connections and related software tools for system monitoring and troubleshooting
