Entry level Registered Nurse (RN) designation (CAP 1)
Ability to work full-time (36-40 hours/week) in 10-12 hour rotating shifts, Monday to Saturday, 6 am to 5 pm
Completion of CAP requirements to advance
Physical ability to perform direct patient care, including heavy lifting, moving patients, assisting with ambulation, frequent prolonged standing, and bending over

Responsibilities

Perform ongoing systematic collection and analysis of patient data pre-during-post treatment, document in medical record, adjust treatment plans, and notify Supervisor, Physician, primary nurse as indicated
Assess, collaborate, and document patient/family basic learning needs; provide initial and ongoing education
Recognize and report patient status variations from normal to appropriate health team members
Direct and provide safe, effective patient care for assigned patients as prescribed for modality-specific treatments
Assess daily assigned patient care needs and collaborate with direct and ancillary staff
Initiate and coordinate communication with FKC and Non-FKC dialysis providers and contracted facility personnel for continuity of care
Implement, administer, monitor, and document patient's response to intradialytic transfusions; notify of adverse reactions
Administer medications as prescribed, document justification and effectiveness
Initiate and assist with emergency response measures
Serve as a resource for health care team, participate in staff training and orientation
Provide specialized nursing care instruction to hospital/facility staff as contractually required
Assist in Outpatient facility on an as-needed basis
Perform all duties in accordance with Fresenius Kidney Care policies, procedures, nursing standards, and regulations, under direction of Supervisor and with guidance from Educator/Preceptor or in collaboration with another RN
Perform all other duties as assigned by Supervisor
