Requirements

  • Ability to manage tactical execution of short- and long-term objectives, including costs, methods, and staffing
  • Understanding of current business trends, profit and loss statements, and analysis of diverse issues
  • Expertise in Acute Care Electronic System (ACES)

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct supervision and coordination of inpatient staff for high-volume monthly treatments
  • Manage tactical execution of short- and long-term objectives through coordination of activities, with responsibility for results including costs, methods, and staffing
  • Monitor costs/spending in all areas (medical supply inventory, personnel, accounts payable) and determine innovative ways to reduce costs while maintaining quality
  • Ensure proper staffing and operations at all contracted facilities, including efficient staff/patient scheduling and utilization per company policy while maintaining a safe environment
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and development plans for direct reports; partner with HR on employee matters; act as advisor to subordinates; handle hiring, coaching, counseling, performance reviews, disciplinary action, and terminations
  • Respond, resolve, and follow up on customer service issues in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with contracted facility representatives to maintain survey readiness for internal/external agencies (TJC, CMS, OSHA); resolve survey-related issues; ensure compliance with hospital regulations
  • Maintain and prepare QAI data and presentations; participate/present at meetings; assure provision of facility-specific QAI information; interact with internal/external stakeholders as industry expert
  • Ensure proper orientation and training program for clinical/technical staff; provide continuing in-services; maintain training documentation
  • Conduct and document regular acute staff meetings
  • Ensure provision of dialysis and related services (hemoperfusion, apheresis, continuous renal replacement therapies, peritoneal dialysis, UF complete if contracted); oversee accurate documentation and timely billing
  • If appropriately licensed, perform treatments during high census, staffing shortages, or to manage costs
  • Confer routinely with Technical Program Manager and Technical Operations Manager on preventative maintenance, machine repairs, infection control, culturing, water testing, logging results, equipment/supply transportation
