Actuarial Analyst 1

Position Overview

Become a part of our caring community and help us put health first. The Actuarial Analyst 1 provides actuarial support across a broad range of actuarial and business needs for specific product lines. This role is responsible for work assignments that are often straightforward and of moderate complexity. The Actuarial Analyst 1 may be responsible for any combination of valuation, pricing, analytics, forecasting, risk, compliance, and operations.

This role is best suited for a candidate who thrives in a collaborative team environment, has a strong desire to learn, and maintains a high level of attention to detail. Use your skills to make an impact!

Requirements

  • Required Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's Degree
    • Successful completion of at least 1 Actuarial Exam
    • Strong communication skills
    • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
  • Travel: Occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Responsibilities

The Actuarial Analyst 1 understands their work area's professional concepts, standards, regulations, strategies, and operating standards. They make decisions regarding their work approach and priorities, and follow direction. Work is managed and often guided by precedent and/or documented procedures/regulations/professional standards with some interpretation.
