Candidates must have experience in incident handling, computer forensic analysis, systems administration, network forensic analysis, malware analysis, or incident remediation. A willingness to work a 4x10 schedule, including a weekend day, is required. Experience investigating targeted threats like Advanced Persistent Threat, Organized Crime, and Hactivists is necessary. A background using various forensic analysis tools and an understanding of system internals are needed to implement countermeasures and remediation. Knowledge of network protocols, network analysis tools, and the ability to perform analysis of associated network logs are essential. The ability to perform static and dynamic malware analysis is required, along with a strong understanding of targeted attacks and the creation of customized tactical and strategic remediation plans.
The analyst will exercise incident handling and remediation processes across Windows, Mac, and Linux platforms. Responsibilities include performing basic malware analysis, developing and improving processes for incident detection and the execution of countermeasures, and producing high-quality written and verbal communications, recommendations, and findings to customer management. Analysts will also demonstrate industry thought leadership through blog posts, CrowdCasts, and other public speaking events, and provide continuous feedback and solutions for operational collateral and capabilities.
