Requirements

  • Expertise in preparing financial statements, including documentation of footnotes, disclosures, and supporting schedules
  • Ability to own and drive month-end and year-end close processes, including detailed analysis and reconciliation of general ledger accounts, ensuring compliance with US GAAP, local accounting requirements, and internal policies
  • Proficiency in managing and aligning the chart of accounts to the business's nature, ensuring it is comprehensive and informative
  • Experience developing managerial accounting processes for cost allocation, including implementing charge codes for teams, projects, customer accounts, etc
  • Knowledge of operational accounting functions, including managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, travel & expense, full AR/AP cycles, customer master data, and billing information
  • Expertise in revenue recognition per ASC 606, reviewing customer contracts/sales agreements, and maintaining gross margin performance
  • Ability to establish and document internal accounting policies, procedures, and lightweight internal controls (e.g., procure-to-pay, quote-to-cash)
  • Skills in managing cash/treasury functions, including cash forecasting, optimizing cash flow, ensuring liquidity, and controls over disbursements/bank transactions
  • Capability to own financial systems and ensure accuracy/completeness of financial data, working cross-functionally

Responsibilities

  • Prepare timely and accurate financial statements to document business performance, develop shared financial understanding, and inform executive decision-making
  • Perform and optimize month-end and year-end close processes for efficiency and scalability amid business growth
  • Manage the chart of accounts to align with Nominal’s business needs
  • Allocate costs using managerial accounting processes and charge codes to provide ROI visibility
  • Oversee operational accounting, including AP/AR and travel & expense management
  • Assign and ensure accurate/timely revenue recognition per ASC 606 and company policies
  • Establish scalable internal controls and policies for consistency and compliance
  • Manage day-to-day cash operations and treasury functions
  • Maintain financial system integrity and data accuracy, supporting external audits and providing executive insights
