About the Role
The Finance Manager will support the Australian finance team through the integration with Renesas. Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the execution of Month End processes.
- Managing monthly and quarterly reporting to the global consolidations team.
- Overseeing financial reporting in accordance with IFRS.
- Collaborating with global teams.
Responsibilities
Operational
- Direct the month-end close processes for accurate and timely reporting of monthly, quarterly, and year-to-date results.
- Prepare and review monthly financial results for the global consolidation team.
- Prepare consolidated and local subsidiary financial reports and liaise with local audit teams.
- Manage all aspects of the close process, including collaboration with internal teams and stakeholders, review of reporting outputs, and engagement with the Financial Leadership team.
- Collaborate with regional teams to promote best practices in finance systems for data accuracy and consistency, supporting informed management decision-making.
- Partner with the Post-Merger Integration team to complete finance integration procedures and ad-hoc projects.
- Support the Financial Controller in effective financial risk management, financial control, and coordination of finance activities, including reporting.
- Develop and drive strong internal controls and process improvements.
Technical
- Prepare Annual Reports and manage local technical accounting (e.g., impairment assessments, IFRS standard interpretation, accounting papers), working with the Global Technical Accounting team.
- Serve as a key point of contact for External Auditors regarding the audit process and significant accounting issues.
- Champion and lead the implementation of global accounting policies and provide accounting support.
- Alongside the Financial Controller, lead consolidated businesses by providing robust financial control, solid technical accounting, and accurate, commercially insightful reporting in a timely manner, adhering to timetables to support informed management decision-making.
Strategic
- Contribute to the successful delivery of Post-Merger Integrations across all finance areas as required.
People & Leadership
- Influence all levels of the organization through impactful communication, passion, business partnering, and collaboration.
- Coach, develop, and lead direct reports in all people management activities.
Requirements
- Relevant qualifications (CA or CPA).
- 6+ years of experience in financial reporting or a related field.
- Experience in dynamic, fast-paced finance teams is essential.
- International reporting experience is ideal but not required.
- Technical proficiency in the application of international accounting standards and foreign currency.
- Experience with Netsuite, DIVA, and Adaptive Planning is desirable.
- High level of initiative with a strong results orientation.
