Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in public accounting, an HOA, or property management setting
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Bill.com)
  • Treasury experience with banks preferred, but not required
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Certifications: CPA or CMA certification is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Proper accounting of all financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries for each assigned HOA
  • Assist in the preparation and monitoring of the annual budget, ensuring alignment with the HOA’s financial goals
  • Help prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for the HOA board and management
  • Coordinate and assist with internal and external audits that may arise, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards
  • Perform regular bank reconciliations and account reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Assist with managing the collection of HOA dues and assessments, including follow-up on delinquent accounts
  • Provide clear and accurate financial information to homeowners, board members, and management
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the financial operations for the HOA
