Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum of 1-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in public accounting, an HOA, or property management setting
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Bill.com)
Treasury experience with banks preferred, but not required
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Certifications: CPA or CMA certification is a plus

Responsibilities

Proper accounting of all financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries for each assigned HOA
Assist in the preparation and monitoring of the annual budget, ensuring alignment with the HOA’s financial goals
Help prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for the HOA board and management
Coordinate and assist with internal and external audits that may arise, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards
Perform regular bank reconciliations and account reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner
Assist with managing the collection of HOA dues and assessments, including follow-up on delinquent accounts
Provide clear and accurate financial information to homeowners, board members, and management
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the financial operations for the HOA
