Requirements

2-3 years of relevant accounting experience - public accounting experience preferred
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting or Finance
CPA (or CPA track) preferred
Proficient with MS Office with advanced excel skills and the ability to manipulate large data sets (VLOOKUP, Sum-Ifs, Pivot tables, etc.)
Strong working knowledge of accounting theory and application of US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
Excellent communication skills; proven ability to communicate effectively with internal and external business partners at various levels
Problem solver with strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities while meeting deadlines
Familiarity with analytical process automation specifically Alteryx a plus
Working knowledge of Workday a plus

Responsibilities

Assist with the monthly financial close by preparing account schedules, submitting journal entries and working cross functionally with other internal stakeholders to obtain relevant information
Perform analytics on various income statement & balance sheet accounts to review monthly operating expenses and construction costs
Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations and supporting schedules, ensuring the completeness and accuracy of applicable ledger accounts
Support the year-end financial statement audit and quarterly reviews including internal audit and SOX requests
Assist the Senior Manager in developing the processes and controls needed to operate effectively while managing risk
Support the Senior Manager with various ad-hoc analyses and management reporting, specifically performing and developing analytics on operating expenses on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
Collaborate and formulate working relationships with cross-functional teams including Finance, Building Operations, Construction Operations and Legal within WeWork
