Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Minimum 2 years’ accounting experience (bookkeeping, reconciliations, journal entries, etc.)
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks Online
Strong understanding of accounting principles and journal entries
Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Analytical, with strong problem-solving ability
High attention to detail and precision
Organized and able to meet deadlines across time zones
Proactive, reliable, and a team player
Ability to work EST hours Mon - Fri from 9am to 6pm EST (15h00 to 24h00 South African time - subject to change in accordance with daylight savings)
Ability to work on both South African and US public holidays
Fixed fibre line with a minimum speed of 25 Mbps (upload & download) and ability to support a wired Ethernet connection
Reliable power backup solution to manage load shedding and power outages

Responsibilities

Prepare and process journal entries, accruals, and adjustments
Perform bank and account reconciliations
Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
Review financial data for accuracy and completeness
Maintain accounting records in QuickBooks Online
Prepare supporting schedules and reports as required
Collaborate with team leads to ensure deadlines and deliverables are met
