Requirements

  • Understanding of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and EH (likely Environmental Health) norms
  • Ability to lead global and regional projects, participate in meetings, discussions, and decision-making
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements for product registration and submission documentation
  • Skills in team leadership, high-performance team development, interpersonal development, performance improvement, skill detection, and improvement planning
  • Experience with standardized development processes based on science and investigation

Responsibilities

  • Manage galenic development and pre-formulation activities, ensuring safe, robust formulations and processes with identified critical parameters
  • Develop high-performance teams to increase Abbott's portfolio in accordance with company norms, policies, and collaboration with Commercial and Operations areas
  • Lead teams, contributing to interpersonal development, performance increase, skill detection, and improvement for high-performance teams
  • Promote new product development, characterizations (e.g., polymorphism, PSD, compatibility), formulations, and manufacturing processes aligned with Abbott's commercial plan
  • Lead pre-formulation and Galenic teams in rational, standardized development using QbD, DoE, and PAT to ensure quality and mitigate future issues
  • Lead global and regional projects, actively participating in meetings, discussions, and decisions
  • Ensure all new product development stages include necessary information in standardized official documents
  • Conduct pre-formulation studies of IFAs, excipients, formulas, and processes using advanced analytical techniques, supported by bibliographic research, articles, and patents
  • Support and lead researchers in identifying, registering, and monitoring critical process and product parameters, documenting rationale in development reports
  • Critically evaluate results and progress with Analytical Development
  • Review technical documentation for new registrations in partnership with Regulatory, ensuring compliance with current legislation
  • Standardize all Galenic Development and Pre-formulation activities per Operational Procedures (OPs)
  • Ensure Galenic and Pre-formulation areas comply with GMP and EH norms
