Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Working experience in a manufacturing environment
  • A minimum of 0-3 years related industrial machine shop experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate progressive die stamping presses, including loading parts, adjusting feed mechanisms, and aligning dies
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and specifications to ensure accurate part production
  • Monitor machine operation and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency
  • Perform first-piece inspections and in-process quality checks using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
  • Verify conformance of finished work-piece to specifications
  • Inspect parts for quality and appropriate tolerance using measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and comparators
  • Record the piece count and run time of production times
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment, ensuring efficient machine operation and minimizing downtime
