Responsibilities

  • Load and unload merchandise
  • Check, verify, and audit merchandise and enter data into remote data terminals to ensure ordered merchandise is accurate and not damaged
  • Identify, separate, label, and palletize merchandise to be relocated to appropriate areas of the distribution center
  • Operate forklift-type equipment to move and store merchandise
  • Replenish pick areas identified by replenishment screens or report requests for needed merchandise
  • Fill merchandise orders by selecting and moving merchandise from active locations to conveyors, slots, or boxes
  • Load merchandise onto trailers from conveyors or pallets
  • Scan non-conveyable or non-diverted merchandise prior to loading onto trailers
  • Check merchandise to ensure shipments are accurate, undamaged, and loaded onto the proper trailer
  • Perform general housekeeping duties
  • Perform varied duties based on department assignment, which may change depending on distribution center needs
