Must have a high school diploma or the equivalent
Experience with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic repair preferred
Must have a minimum work history of 12 consecutive months in maintenance related field in the previous 18 months
Must be able and willing to complete work without direct supervision and be able to manage time
Must be able and willing to serve as a member of the Emergency Response and Intermediate Fire Fighting Teams
Must be able and willing to complete required documentation daily

Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation, including: lift up to 50 pounds frequently; stand and walk the entire shift; work 8-12 hour shifts; reach with hands and arms; climb; stoop or bend; work near moving mechanical parts; work in non-weather humidity, cold, and heat
Must be willing to work in a changing environment
Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 365 days and are limited to three (3) times of employment

Responsibilities

Troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets
Maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures
Performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on plant equipment in a food-processing environment
Working with scissor lifts, scaffolds, industrial pallet jacks, various chemicals, and lubricants
Welding, soldering, and assembling equipment
