Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or the equivalent
  • Experience with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic repair preferred
  • Must have a minimum work history of 12 consecutive months in maintenance related field in the previous 18 months
  • Must be able and willing to complete work without direct supervision and be able to manage time
  • Must be able and willing to serve as a member of the Emergency Response and Intermediate Fire Fighting Teams
  • Must be able and willing to complete required documentation daily

  • Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation, including: willing to work in a changing environment; lift up to 50 pounds frequently; stand and walk the entire shift; work 8-12 hour shifts; reach with hands and arms; climb; stoop or bend; work near moving mechanical parts; work in non-weather humidity, cold, and heat
  • Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 365 days and are limited to three (3) times of employment

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets
  • Maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures
  • Performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on plant equipment in a food-processing environment
  • Working with scissor lifts, scaffolds, industrial pallet jacks, various chemicals, and lubricants
  • Welding, soldering, and assembling equipment
