Requirements

  • Pursuing a BS in Microbiology (Biology or Chemistry majors also considered)
  • Must have active student status for the duration of the internship
  • Must be eligible to work in Puerto Rico at the time of, and for the duration of, employment (required to furnish evidence of Puerto Rico work authorization)
  • Must be fluent in both Spanish and English
  • Must be eligible to work onsite full-time in Guayama, PR (40 hours/week) and provide their own funding for relocation and/or transportation

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain microbiological media and lab materials for routine testing
  • Perform environmental monitoring and assist with microbiological sampling in production areas
  • Support investigations and documentation related to microbiological quality standards
  • Collaborate with supervisors and team members to ensure compliance with GMP and site protocols
  • Work in a high-volume, time-sensitive environment where flexibility and problem-solving are key
