Responsibilities

  • Work alongside engineering professionals on project assignments within teams to gain experience and learning opportunities
  • Network with management and employees throughout the company
  • Develop business skills through team and business partner interactions, presentations, and performance evaluations
  • Focus on building technical abilities in areas such as (but not limited to):
  • Product Design: Engineer components and systems, lead cross-functional collaboration from concept to production
  • Simulation/Performance Analysis: Conduct CFD (ANSYS), FEA, 3D modeling, root cause investigations, design optimization for engines, aftertreatment, batteries, fuel cells, powertrains, and machine systems
  • Test/Validation/Hands-on: Apply mechanical engineering in testing environments, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate for optimal results
  • Controls Development: Develop and implement control system algorithms using Matlab/Simulink for engine, machine, and powertrain controllers, including requirements understanding, implementation, and testing
  • Electronic Components: Design and test electronic control modules and components, collaborate with clients and suppliers, perform PCB schematics, circuit analysis, testing, and FMEAs
  • Embedded Software Development: Develop embedded software in C, C#, C++ for control modules, including datalink communications, I/O, speed calculation, timing, memory management, CPU optimization, multi-core design, and automation scripts in Python/Visual Basic
  • Software Validation/Verification for Electronic Systems: Verify functionality of features or control system algorithms
