Good analytical skills to be able to determine number of carts required for orders
1 to 2 years of experience in manufacturing, production, or service industry
Ability to work in a noisy fast-paced environment
Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, reach, and stack individual items from machine for long periods
Ability to lift up to 100 pounds
Ability to push or pull a cart that may weigh 100 pounds
Demonstrated customer service and organization skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Responsibilities

Open up bags at the breakout table and send linen up the belt
As primary cart mover, bring empty soil cart away from the belt, put a new cart in area, and take empty cart to the cart area
As bag breaker attendant, break open the bags
As belt attendant, sort large pieces (bath blankets, flat sheets, draw sheets, thermals)
As belt attendant, sort second largest pieces (underpants, patient gowns, fitted sheets)
As belt attendant, handle all remaining pieces (bath towels, washcloths, hand towels, scrubs)
At hoist and weigh or staging, pull full slings away as they fill up, put empty sling in, weigh full one, record information, and hang it
Adhere to quality standards in terms of soil sorting and cart cleaning
Understand, observe, and adhere to all safety procedures and policies
Assist and perform other duties as assigned
