The ideal candidate does not have any specific qualifications listed, but possesses a willingness to take ownership and contribute to the growth of the entertainment publicity efforts.
Candidates should possess demonstrable writing experience, including experience reviewing movies, and a strong interest in movies and filmmaking. Familiarity with the film industry and understanding of running industry trends are also desired, along with knowledge of internet research and basic HTML.
Candidates should possess strong writing backgrounds and the ability to produce music news content quickly and accurately, with a preference for prior experience. The ideal candidate must be dependable and able to adapt to changing circumstances within their articles, and be “on-call” to produce content during their shift.
Candidates should possess a passion for journalism, writing, and television, demonstrate mastery of the English language including grammar, flow, structure, and spelling, be able to work professionally with all members of the TV department, and have access to the internet and their own personal computer. Prior experience is not required, though degrees in English, Journalism, Creative Writing, or similar fields are considered a plus.
