Exceptional international news judgment across geopolitics, security, diplomacy, global culture, and emerging trends is required, along with the ability to produce and edit at speed in a digital environment and proficiency with AI tools.
The World Editor will lead international news and foreign affairs coverage, commission, edit, and publish original reporting, exclusives, and interviews. They will shape coverage plans, run live blogs during major events, use AI tools to enhance efficiency, monitor news sources, and collaborate with editors on coverage plans. This role includes line managing staff, ensuring high-quality and accurate reporting, and rotating weekend leadership.
