Requirements

Pursuing a Master of Science degree in computer science or related fields with a preferred specialisation in machine learning or NLP
Experience with designing and training machine learning models
Proven ability to work independently and make good decisions with minimal direction
Strong communication skills (fluent English, both verbal and written)
Experience working with complex and large text and web data
Experience working with deep learning tools, like PyTorch or TensorFlow
Programming skills (Python, C++/Java, Perl, bash command-line tools)
Experience/interest in working with service-oriented architectures and frameworks (e.g. SpringBoot)
Experience/interest in working with cloud computing solutions (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)

Responsibilities

Tackle advanced AI challenges in machine learning and text understanding at eBay
Collaborate with researchers and engineers on cutting-edge technologies
Contribute to solving complex problems that impact eBay’s platform
Help shape the technical vision for query understanding
Develop and apply software engineering standards to improve the buying experience
Build robust data pipelines and real-time monitoring/optimization algorithms
