Position Overview
The Workday Financials Senior Principal Consultant, Record to Report – Global Application Managed Services (AMS) is a highly experienced post-production professional. This role requires a dynamic, fast-paced individual familiar with the managed services construct. As a Workday Financials Senior Principal Consultant, Record to Report, you will leverage your functional expertise, ability to maintain business context, and a hands-on work ethic within a team that fosters a positive, can-do attitude, a collaborative culture, and a passion for client success.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the onshore functional lead for the Financials workstream, specifically focusing on Record to Report for assigned accounts.
- Apply and execute various AMS & Implementation methodologies and activities within Workday Financials engagements.
- Collaborate with the Global Delivery Center (GDC) team on daily activities, incident management, root cause analysis, and other work requests.
- Provide on-call support and holiday coverage as required.
- Demonstrate deep knowledge of Service Level Agreement (SLA) constructs and adherence.
- Coordinate with external and internal stakeholders to achieve significant business impact.
- Contribute to the operational efficiency of the Workday practice.
- Proactively identify and develop reporting dashboards to enhance Workday utilization, creating solutions that support metrics for Finance (FINS) and the broader business.
- Work with clients to identify and resolve all issues that could impact project scope and/or timeframe.
- Maintain the Workday platform with a focus on reporting (including scheduled reports), business process maintenance, security administration, data loads, and data audits.
- Ensure system design aligns with user needs.
- Comfortably lead multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Ensure the team delivers project deliverables on time and provide consistent, timely reminders to vendors and the project team.
- Drive continuous business process improvements throughout the organization.
- Lead a team of Workday consultants across multiple engagements.
Skills & Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Computer Science or Engineering) or equivalent experience.
- Workday Financials certification is required.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Workday report writing & analytics.
- Ability to multitask and perform a variety of duties.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to go the extra mile to solve customer problems.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve complex incidents and provide suggestions/best practices.
Salary and Other Compensation
- Annual Salary: $128,093 - $192,140 (depending on experience and qualifications).
- Incentive Program: Eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of applicable plans.
