Requirements

  • Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance with Full Scope Polygraph
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in a related System Administration role (preferred)
  • High School diploma/GED with 7+ years of experience or equivalent combination of technical education and experience
  • DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II (or higher) certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CISSP) within 6 months of hire
  • Experience in Windows systems administration
  • Understanding of multiplatform system hardening (e.g., DISA STIG, SCAP)
  • Strong understanding of VMware vSphere virtual environments
  • Experience with scripting for task automation (e.g., PowerShell, Batch, BASH)
  • Proficient knowledge of cyber security technology and trends (e.g., Tenable, McAfee, Splunk)
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (e.g., switching, routing, firewalls, load balancing)
  • Experience with system monitoring & alerting tools (e.g., Nagios)
  • Experience working within an accredited system
  • Ability to work independently
  • Willingness to continue learning new technologies
  • Experience in classified programs
  • Physical ability to stand, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift/move up to 50 pounds
  • Availability for 100% on-site work in Malibu, CA, including evenings and weekends as required

Responsibilities

  • Work with multi-disciplined team members under general supervision
  • Provide a friendly and professional point of contact for customers
  • Perform independent troubleshooting of complex incidents
  • Perform a multi-disciplined range of technical system and application activities
  • Install, configure, and maintain multiplatform systems hardware, software, and components
  • Administer and manage Windows and Linux systems in operations, engineering, analysis, and test environments
  • Administer installation of software, hardware, file system management, backups, process control, user administration, and device management
  • Resolve a wide variety of complex system failures, troubleshooting software, hardware, and network problems
  • Perform system and user account maintenance
  • Test and assess security configuration of Windows servers
  • Monitor, evaluate, and optimize system performance
  • Analyze, test, and implement security patches and hardening
  • Document maintenance & ticketing actions
  • Develop and promote standard operating procedures
  • Conduct routine hardware and software audits of servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines
  • If required, assist in IT security incident response and documentation
