Requirements

  • 8+ years of professional Software Development experience
  • 5+ years of professional experience with modern Web technologies
  • Fluency in TypeScript and Python

Responsibilities

  • Create smooth, stable, and elegant products with NextJS and TypeScript
  • Own features from inception and design to implementation and launch
  • Build and improve tools to support Yohana’s global cloud operational backbone
  • Collaborate with design, product, service and marketing specialists to rapidly iterate on our core products
  • Design frameworks and tools that empower other developers
  • Creating and driving the area’s technical strategy and roadmap based on broad and deep understanding of the Payments domain
  • Making strategic technology choices
  • Setting technical standards
  • Continuously improving reliability, scalability, and correctness of all services within the web domain while holding the highest security standards
  • Continuously improving operational excellence, efficiency, and sustainability of all web properties
  • Mentoring engineers and up-leveling the web engineering organization
  • Making hard tradeoffs about taking on or paying down technical debt while making forward progress on new products and features
  • Collaborating with other area tech leads across Yohana, to ensure that Yohana’s overall technical direction is coherent, effective, and efficient while balancing that against web technical needs driven by unique challenges
