Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • Interest and/or experience in hydrology, hydraulics, flood modelling, stormwater design, and technical reporting
  • Exposure to software such as 12D, TUFLOW, XPRAFTS/WBNM, HEC-RAS, QGIS, MUSIC (highly regarded but not essential for graduates)
  • Willingness to learn, take initiative and apply problem-solving skills in a consulting environment
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Early career through to up to 4 years of consulting experience

Responsibilities

  • Support assessments of water-related impacts including hydrology, flooding and water quality for infrastructure, development and environmental projects
  • Assist in conceptual and detailed design of civil and stormwater infrastructure such as drainage systems, basins, dams, earthworks and overland flow management
  • Contribute to the preparation of engineering reports, drawings, modelling outputs, specifications and cost estimates
  • Undertake hydrologic and hydraulic modelling tasks with support from senior engineers, learning industry-standard tools and methodologies
  • Assist with project coordination, documentation and communication with internal teams and external stakeholders
