Requirements
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures and all safety regulations relating to the operation of company vehicles, trash compactor, recycling compactor, and compost machine
- Capacity to perform physical tasks including sorting waste, hauling trash, cleaning facilities, and maintaining surrounding areas
- Enthusiasm for guest experience, outdoors, and community to engage and welcome guests
- Hard-working and team-player attitude suitable for seasonal mountain resort environment
Responsibilities
- Ensure all mountain waste is sorted and disposed of in proper receptacles (compost, recycling, landfill)
- Sort compost to ensure only compost goes into the composting machine
- Sort recycling to ensure only correct recyclable materials go into the recycling compactor
- Sort landfill bags to ensure only landfill waste goes into the landfill compactor
- Clean sorting stations and facility at the end of shift
- Remove trash, recycling, and compost from locations including day lodge, Campbell Basin, Summit House, and make rounds through departments as needed
- Haul trash from Crystal Mountain Base area to respective compactor in shop yard
- Empty and sort refuse from Campbell Basin trailer haul
- Maintain cleanliness of trash room, compost buckets, food haul trailer, compactor shed, associated dumpsters, and surrounding areas
- Engage and welcome all Crystal Mountain guests
- Perform janitorial duties as needed based on waste removal requirements
- Promote a positive image of Crystal Mountain Resort's sustainability efforts
